Privacy Policy

ATTUNE ("ATTUNE," "we," "us," or "our") provides a coaching‑support app that gives you a private space to reflect between coaching sessions. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. We've tried to keep it plain and honest, because your trust is the point of this product.

This policy applies to the ATTUNE mobile apps and this website.

Information you provide

• Account information: your email address and basic account metadata (such as your display name and account creation date) used to create and secure your account.
• Content you create: the goals and focus areas you set, your reflection entries, journal entries, next steps, and their history. This is the heart of your experience and belongs to you.
• Communications: if you contact us for support or send a reflection summary to your coach, we process the information you choose to include.

Information collected automatically

• Authentication data: secure session tokens used only to keep you signed in. These are stored securely on your device.
• Limited technical data: basic information necessary to operate the app reliably (such as app version and device platform). We do not use advertising identifiers.

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service.

We use your information to:

• create and secure your account;
• store and display the goals, reflections, journal entries, and steps you create;
• send reminders and notifications you have enabled;
• provide optional AI‑assisted reflection features (see below);
• respond to your support requests; and
• maintain the safety, reliability, and security of the service.

We do not use your content for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.

Some versions of ATTUNE offer optional AI‑assisted reflection, which provides gentle prompts and a brief "mirroring" summary of what you wrote.

When you use these features, the reflection text you enter (and, where relevant, your stated focus and a limited amount of your recent reflection history) is sent securely to our AI provider, Anthropic (the Claude API), solely to generate that response in real time. This processing happens through a secure server function; the AI provider's credentials are never stored in the app.

• The content is used only to generate your reflection prompt or summary.
• It is not used to build advertising or marketing profiles of you.
• Under Anthropic's commercial API terms, your inputs and outputs are not used to train their models and are retained only transiently for safety and abuse‑prevention purposes before deletion.

If you use a version of ATTUNE without AI features, your reflection content is not sent to any AI provider.

Your data is stored using Supabase, our cloud database and authentication provider. Access is governed by row‑level security, meaning your records are accessible only to your authenticated account. No other user — and no coach — can view your entries unless you explicitly share them.

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest by our infrastructure providers. While no system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, we use industry‑standard safeguards to protect your information.

We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share information only:

• with service providers ("sub‑processors") who help us operate the app, under contractual confidentiality obligations — currently Supabase (database, authentication), Anthropic (AI features, where used), and Expo (app build and update delivery);
• at your direction — for example, when you choose to email a reflection summary to your coach; and
• if required by law, such as to comply with a valid legal request, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the service.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is permanently and immediately removed from our systems. Backups and provider logs are purged on our providers' standard cycles.

• Access and export: you can download your data at any time through Profile → Your Data.
• Deletion: you can delete your account and all associated data at any time, from within the app. Deletion is permanent and immediate.
• Correction: you can edit or remove your content directly in the app.
• Notifications: you control reminders and can disable them at any time in your device or app settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR (EU/UK) or CCPA/CPRA (California), including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information. To exercise any right, contact us using the details below.

ATTUNE does not use advertising cookies or third‑party tracking technologies. Session tokens are used only to maintain your authenticated state.

ATTUNE is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

If this policy changes in a material way, we will notify you within the app and update the effective date above before the changes take effect. Continued use after that point constitutes acceptance.
